How To Increase Your Team’s Performance by 25% With Less Stress

Monday, February 7th, 2011

As a leader, have you ever thought you shared exactly what needed to be done only to have people execute something completely different?

Have you ever totally forgotten what you were going to say? What about those times you KNOW exactly what to say but suddenly it seems to be too complicated?

If you want results you need to be able to speak so people know what you are saying and they can quickly act on it. As a leader the quality of your decisions is dependent on the information people bring to you.

Does your team bring you information in the format you need?

Anne, I just had to call you today to share with you the success I have found using the Outcome Focus® Approach in my big client meeting.

The meeting was a huge success! We walked ADDING $10 million of additional business with them! My company is thrilled and the client is thrilled.

Anne, in the past I would have focused on what we wanted and how to get it. I can’t believe how much Outcome Thinking® has made in impact in growing my business and my relationships by focusing me on the Outcome instead of the process. Thanks a million…or make that $10 million!!”

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

Join us in another of our Outcome Thinking® Webinar series as Anne Warfield takes a look at Backyard vs. Maverick Leaders™!

How does your past impact who you are as a leader? Are we creating leaders today that are drastically different than leadership of the past?

In this session we explore the top traits of leaders and how the leadership styles of those under the age of 35 compares to those over the age of 40.

You will find out:

• What are the differences in the two leadership styles and where do you fit in?
• How each style impacts an organization’s culture and decision making.
• How you can maximize the two styles to become more effective as an organization.
• What part do backyard games and the dinner table play in how you lead?

This highly anticipated webinar comes out of work Anne Warfield has been doing with executive groups around the world. You will hear about Anne’s groundbreaking research on leaders.

Anne has found distinct differences and impacts that come from these two styles of leaders. This webinar will explore stories and examples from CEO’s across the globe. You will see how this impacts teams and their ability to be more candid, credible, make quick decisions and deal with the elephants in the room.

Corporate Leadership Training: What Could Topple Your Workforce In 2011?

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011

Did you know that over 76% of all EMPLOYED today, say they will switch jobs in 2011 if the right opportunity opened up.  That is staggering.  That means 3/4 of your workforce is staying with you because they HAVE TO, not because they WANT TO.

So how do you change that?  This is the time to ensure you have the right people in the right spots to execute the right results.  Right now is the time you should be having candid talks about what is on the horizon, what training that person needs to move forward, and what you can do to help make their job even better.

Stress is one of those horrible things that tends to ripple down.  When, as a leader, you are stressed out you tend to walk around with a tight face, constricted shoulders, and a heaviness in your step.  The team sees this day in and day out and it wears on them.  Look at how you handle stress, do you start demanding results you weren’t before?  Are you more accusatory?

This is the time to create compelling visions of the future- what do you see happening, how can they be a part of it, and what will you be doing to make that happen.  Notice how each time I end with YOU.  That’s because as a leader it all starts with you.

The number one reason most people give for leaving a company is that they didn’t like working with their leader.  So if 76% of all employees are saying they would leave their job, they are telling you to stand up and look at your leadership.  How well are they trained? You need this group to be compelling speakers, and articulate thinkers so they can help transform their team for the future.

What percent of your team is going to stay or will you be looking at empty hallways? Prepare now by becoming the best leader you can be.

How To Create Positive Energy That Drives Productivity: Leadership Development Solutions

Tuesday, January 4th, 2011

Infection.  It is a word that we dread when we think about disease but change a few letters and suddenly the word infectious inspires happiness, good will and abundance.

In 2011 make positive energy infectious in your office.  We have actually done studies and found that FOCUSED positive energy can drive your office productivity up by 25%!  Imagine what you could do if you had back 25% of your TIME!

Negative energy drains the office- I have actually seen one individual drive a department from $100 million in revenue down to $10 million in less than three years. You can’t afford to let one negative person take your department or team down.

So here is how to set the tone toward positive energy for your team:

  1. Share with your team a vision of how you see the team interacting, and what you see them accomplishing this next year. Say it all as though it is the end of 2011 and the team has already accomplished it.
  2. Have each team member then write down what they will personally do or change in order to make it happen.  Again have them write it out as though it is Dec. 31,  2011 and they have already made the changes happen.
  3. Come to agreement on what things will block the team from making it happen and how you can counter each of those so you don’t let them own the team.

With this renewed energy make sure you are the one holding the group and of course, yourself, accountable for acting in accordance with the new tradition of positive energy. This means that if you have people who drain the group of energy you need to talk with them immediately and focus them on how to change their thinking and behavior so it stops.

Make 2011 the year you drive to positive energy and create an environment where everyone wants to come to work each day!

Think It Through:Measure Me Please

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

Think It Through using Outcome Thinking®

Again we had two answers that work here.  One is stars (come at night but disappear in the day) and dreams.

Dreams are a wonderful source of insights in to your unconscious brain.  Matter-of-fact in Executive Coaching we will show people how to use their full unconscious brain to solve weighty problems that are on their desk.

Here is a quick version you can try for yourself:

1. At night think about the problem you are facing.  Just say “I am going to let this go and let you (your brain) come up with some unique solutions.”

2. At that point stop thinking or dwelling on it.

3. In the morning, before you get out of bed, write down all you remember from your dreams.  Then look to see if there is a solution there.

We had one client that was wrestling with a large logistics problem.  The Executive went to bed that night and woke up having thought of this weird bird that kept changing in the sky.  Then it hit her that the message was she needed to morph and change aspects of the project so it would work.  Her team got right on it and within two hours they had the solution they had wrestled with for a week!

Riddle for the Day:

Until I am measured, I am not known. Yet how you miss me, when I have flown! What am I?
